Seventh Pit of Hell, June 30 – The Prince of Darkness has begun preparations for the eventual arrival in Hell of the two men responsible for the abduction and murder of three Israeli boys two weeks ago, and has set aside a special array of devices and situations to torment them once they die.
Amer Abu Aysha and Marwan Kawasme of the West Bank city of Hebron lured the three Israeli teenagers into a vehicle at a popular hitchhiking location near the yeshiva at which the three studied, abducted them and killed them soon afterwards. The IDF found the bodies of the teens in a field near Hebron Monday, following 18 days of searches, prayers, and national outpourings of love and support for the kidnapped teens and their families. In contrast, Palestinian society almost uniformly celebrated the kidnapping, leading the Devil to pay special attention to the fates of the perpetrators once they are in his hands.
“It won’t be long now,” Satan promised his underlings this evening. “Criminals of this sort always end up coming to a violent end, and then we have them forever.” He detailed the punishments and suffering that await the pair, relishing each component of the torment.
“First we remove from them any ability to ignore the feelings of others,” he explained, a process that takes a mere instant even though they have spent years ridding themselves of empathy for anyone who happens to be of the wrong religious or political persuasion. “Then we blast them with the full force of the pain they have caused to other humans, consuming them with guilt, shame, and eternal sadness over the irreversibility of their crimes.” Whereas while they are alive, Abu Aysha and Kawasme might be able to convince themselves that their victims deserve the treatment they got, in death no such rationalization is possible, and they will be unable to escape or temper the burning humiliation.
“We also have a full array of physical methods to employ, should that prove necessary,” added Lucifer, his mouth watering with anticipation. He gestured toward a chamber with the tools of his trade, among them a device that keeps the eyelids open and the eyes focused on the anguish one has caused others, and on the diminishment of the divine in the world as a result. “We’re especially proud of that invention, as it drives home just how wrong the perpetrator has been in convincing himself that he must kill people for being Jewish in the wrong place.”
Once the two Palestinians have been subjected to that torment, they will repeat the two-step process in a more profound way, gaining a deeper insight into the ways in which their ideology, assumptions, actions, and influence on others had the opposite spiritual effect of what they intended. The resulting deeper shame will carry them through the first and second stages of the torment, which they will repeat for all eternity, each time comprehending more intensely the corruptness of their lives.
