Don’t Worry, EVENTUALLY I’ll Be Right About Causing WWIII

Washington, June 19 – Trust me, I’ll be right this time: allowing Israel to continue doing what it’s doing will spark global conflagration and drag the US into yet another conflict in which our soldiers will be killed. This time I know I’m right, because only the sixteen thousand previous iterations of this argument have been wrong, but not this one!

Just forget about those other episodes. They don’t matter. All the warnings about not moving the embassy to Jerusalem because it would disrupt everything and alienate all of our Arab allies; not recognizing Israeli claims on the Golan because it would alienate our Arab allies; not letting Israel strike Iran because it would alienate our Arab allies and bring US assets under fire and we would have NO CHOICE but to put our boys on the ground there, where they would die, because that’s the only thing our army boys do, right? They’re not like, trained to fight, or anything, and didn’t sign up to defend our interests. No wars for Israel!

Also forget the fact that not a single US soldier has ever been sent to die for Israel. Forget the contention that the Israeli government wanted us to invade Iraq in 2003, because they actually told us NOT to, fearing the instability that would induce. Yeah, Netanyahu urged action, but he was a private citizen at the time, not in government.

AND forget that repressive Islamist regimes are all paper tigers, especially against the juggernaut that Israel has shown itself to be over the last couple of years, and the US wouldn’t have to lift a finger, just not get in the way. Putin, and you know I love the guy, has demonstrated he’s not getting involved in getting in Israel’s way on Iran, as much as it pains me to say. I mean, I keep yelling that continued support for Ukraine will spark World War Three, as have numerous other America-Firsters who think it means letting tyranny take over everywhere, but that hasn’t happened despite European and American support for Zelenskyy, so take that with a grain of kasha. Eventually it’ll be true, and then the warmongers will be sorry.

I just don’t want us dragged into another forever war. Because it’s obviously much better for America in the long run to let Iran develop nuclear missiles and acquire effective immunity for its imperialistic ambitions, which would also embolden China and Russia and North Korea, who are all righteous and virtuous, and would never do anything to undermine US interests. We just have to leave them alone.
