Anti-Zionists Sure Group Who Survived Millennia Of Exile, Worst Evils Of History To Found State, Will Pack Up, Leave

The last year alone has seen 27,000 new Jewish immigrants to Israel.

Tel Aviv, April 30 – Ideologues and activists opposed to continued Jewish sovereignty in the ancestral Jewish homeland maintained their positions of late that a nation forcibly dislodged from its territory thousands of years ago who spent the centuries ever since engaged in constant spiritual, physical, aspirational, cultural, and political efforts to secure a return there en masse, enduring atrocities and genocide beyond comprehension through all the generations, finally to succeed in reestablishing themselves as a sovereign political entity less than three years after an industrialized effort to exterminate them, has such a tenuous attachment to the place that their dispossession remains a matter of pushing them a little more.

Anti-Zionists expressed their ongoing conviction in recent weeks, months and years – especially in the wake of the October 7, 2023 massacres by Palestinians of Israelis near the Gaza Strip – that Jews will easily give up on Zionism if pressed hard enough, despite all the evidence to the contrary.

“October 7 showed how close we got,” asserted the activists, pointing to fictitious reports of Israelis fleeing in the aftermath of the attacks. “We need to keep doing that.” In fact tens of thousands of Israelis returned from abroad as soon as they could, to fight or to support family and friends amid the war. The last year alone has seen 27,000 new Jewish immigrants to Israel.

Analysts map the divergence of the ideologue’s position from reality along several lines. “Part of it is sunk costs,” explained psychologist Meita Zwell. “It’s embarrassing to admit error. Rather that say, hey, we were wrong, it’s much easier to double down, and keep doubling down. Especially when there are no costs to doing so, which brings us to another factor: there are no costs to being wrong because established institutions and interests are supportive of the anti-Israel narrative, and reward anti-Israel behavior regardless of its effectiveness or morality.”

“Then there’s deep-seated antisemitism that everyone in the west likes to pretend disappeared after the Second World War,” she continued. “And we also must reckon with plain old projection: many of those who believe Jews will leave Israel with just a little more pressure think so because they themselves have never experienced belonging and conviction of the depth that Zionist Jews feel about the country and land of Israel. Since they can’t put themselves in the shoes of the Zionists, they misunderstand and underestimate the strength and profoundness of the devotion to the land.”

“Just one more pro-Israel Facebook post and we can convince them of the truth, though,” she insisted.
