Stormtrooper units routinely fire thousands of blaster bolts while registering fewer than eight confirmed, non-plot-critical hits.
Jerusalem, December 17 — A coalition of prominent human rights organizations, including Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and B’Tselem, issued an unusual joint statement Tuesday calling on the Israeli government to immediately replace select Israel Defense Forces units operating in the Gaza Strip with Imperial Stormtrooper battalions loaned from the Galactic Empire’s 501st Legion.
The 12-page report, titled “Proportionate Inaccuracy: A Path Toward Credible Deniability,” argues that only the Empire’s white-armored infantry—widely documented as incapable of striking a human-sized target at distances greater than five meters—can satisfy international demands for “zero risk of civilian harm” during urban operations.“
After twenty-six months of near-constant scrutiny,” the statement reads, “it has become clear that no level of precision on the part of the IDF will ever persuade certain observers that civilian casualties are unintentional. We therefore propose a simple solution: deploy troops whose marksmanship is objectively, verifiably abysmal.”
Researchers cited extensive footage from the Battle of Hoth, the Tantive IV boarding action, and the Endor shield-generator assault as evidence that Stormtrooper units routinely fire thousands of blaster bolts while registering fewer than eight confirmed, non-plot-critical hits.
“This is not a question of training or equipment,” said Agnès Callamard, Secretary General of Amnesty International. “It is a structural feature of the force. Even when ordered to execute unarmed prisoners at point-blank range, statistical analysis shows a 0.7-meter median deviation. That is the gold standard we are asking Israel to meet.”
Israeli officials reacted with cautious interest. A senior IDF spokesperson, speaking on condition of anonymity, confirmed that defense ministry lawyers are reviewing whether Imperial Stormtrooper detachments would be classified as “foreign mercenaries” under Israeli law or could be designated “visiting allied forces” entitled to combatant immunity.
The statement also addressed potential objections. “We acknowledge concerns that Stormtroopers might accidentally strike a moisture farm or sandcrawler,” the report notes, “but given their established performance curve, the probability approaches zero. In the unlikely event a Palestinian child is hit, the footage would be so demonstrably implausible that no credible investigator could accept it as authentic.” The authors insist they wrote that with a straight face.
As of press time, the office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had not issued an official response, though sources say an emergency tender for 10,000 sets of plastoid armor has been fast-tracked through procurement.
